Prof. Wojciech Bartkowiak is chair of the department and head of a group focusing on theoretical studies of linear and nonlinear optical properties of molecular systems. Prof. Ludwik Komorowski group is specializing in conceptual Density Functional Theory. Dr. Krzysztof Strasburger group is working on formalism and applications of explicitly correlated wave functions with applications to positronic systems, while Dr. Robert Góra Computational Photochemistry group is focusing on theoretical studies of photochemistry and photophysics of organic molecules and the chemical origins of life in an intensive collaboration with experimental groups.
